Software Engineer Job Description Location: Houston, TX
We are seeking a versatile Software Engineer with expertise in Django, MQTT, and advanced data science techniques to build our next-generation IoT platform. At FlowCellutions, you will contribute to building pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into our advanced software system. You will have the responsibility of contributing to all aspects of the code, but primarily the backend and database.
Key Responsibilities - design and implement scalable microservices for real-time data ingestion from edge devices - develop robust communication protocols for sensor networks - build resilient software that can perform well under high loads - optimize data streaming and processing architectures - implement secure authentication and data transmission mechanisms
Required Technical Skills - strong Python programming skills - Django web framework - MQTT protocol implementation - Docker and Kubernetes - PostgreSQL and MongoDB - Kafka or RabbitMQ
Preferred Qualifications - experience with time-series data analysis - knowledge of edge computing principles - familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS)
